No Science Festival explOra! 2005, but mini-explOra! 2005!
The European Academy of Bozen/Bolzano and her partners are ready to organize another Science Festival explOra! at Bolzano. Full of energy, with new ideas and interesting contacts (collaboration with the science festivals of Genova and Perugia and with members of EUSCEA) they were ready to organize a festival in october 2005. Unfortunately, in spite of the big success of the festival in 2002, no sponsor seems to have enough money fo another festival. We are very sorry, but there will be no science festival 2005! But thanks to the city of Bolzano we are able to offer a small programme for schools in South Tyrol. Please check the programme of mini-explOra! 2005.
Competition for young researchers in 4 border regions! 
The EURAC competition "Giovani altoatesini ricercano" is changing face and will be organized in Southtyrol with the participation of Tyrol, Trentino and Graubünden (Switzerland). The new name is ""Looking for young researchers!" The organizers will be EURAC, the autonomous province of Bolzano, the autonomous province of Trento, the Free University of Innsbruck and the Academia Engiadina. At a first meeting in march the project partners agreed on the rules for the competition. Languages of the competition will be german and italian. The project is co-financed from national funds and funds of the Programme INTERREG III A Italy/Switzerland.
With the Science Festival explOra! 2002 the European Academy of Bozen/Bolzano (EURAC) and her partners startet an initiative to create contacts between scientists and the public. 114 single events invited young and old to have fun with science end to discuss with experts. More than 13.000 visitors came to the festival (from september 28 to october 6 2002 )! You may get an impression looking at "explOra 2002", for example at "highlights", and "photogallery"!
